Baby Naming
Baby Naming
The tradition of embracing and celebrating a new life as part of the community began with ancient tribes. The birth was celebrated according to spiritual or cultural rituals. People believed that a child was a gift from the Gods and Goddesses, there was no concept of exactly how the gift was bestowed. In our time there is more knowledge of how the process of new life begins and the miracle of birth is still a cause for true celebration. The ceremony is symbolic for family and friends to make a spiritual and emotional connection to the soul who has chosen to start another journey.

Baby Blessings
I’ve had fabulous pleasure holding ceremonies for babies and toddlers around the district. Here’s some ideas of where ceremonies can take place in this great universe; verandas, beside rivers, graceful lush gardens, in your home, a function room in a resort, a stone circle in the rain forest – that should give you the idea there’re no restrictions to where your ceremony can take place it can be where ever you wish to share the celebration. The ceremonies variety from a tiny group of just baby, parents, aunties, to a larger group of family and friends. It’s a beautiful special bonding to have a small ceremony of welcoming, naming and blessings for a newborn baby when the birth has been traumatic or the baby was born prematurely.
When the first baby laughed for the first time, the laugh broke into a thousand pieces and they all went skipping about, and that was the beginning of fairies. And now when every new baby is born its first laugh becomes a fairy. So there ought to be one fairy for every boy or girl.James Matthew Barrie
Birthdays
First birthday blessings have been popular and have varied from being entirely non-religious, to being like an alternative christening with prayers, parental vows and godparents. Baby’s first birthday is definitely a big event, especially for their parents. In this first year, a child has not only grown to see their first year, but they have also reached a number of milestones, like laughing for the first time and walking. It’s normal for a child’s parents to want a celebration in honor of one of their child’s major milestones.. Different cultures tells us that the 1st birthdays are unique and special. Parents love having family and friends come together to celebrant their children’s birthdays. There’s more to birthdays than blowing out candles and singing happy birthday. Choose a birthday to acknowledge and celebrate the occassion with love, laughter, joy and appreciation of the spirit of your child’s life
