This Palm Cove wedding was a lot of fun with Megan Maloney and Nathan O’Neill family gathering for the event and staying for the honeymoon, ha-ha just joking. Their son Jayden was the ring bearer and Megan’s dad walked her along the sand to her chosen man. Nathan and Megan met 10 years ago and it was instant attraction, oh la la. Nathan proposed while they were holidaying in Fiji on a deserted island. There must be something in the air around Fiji men seem to take their loved one for a holiday then ask their lady to marry them I love Fiji its very romantic over there.

Peita Birgan and Curtis Bentley had a incredible wedding on the 17th March despite the rain that fell 48 hours before the ceremony. Their chosen venue was Peita’s parents home, they were married on the veranda under a wedding arch Peita’s dad Jim had made. The reception was in the lounge come banquet hall, grandeur at its best. It never ceases to amaze me how resourceful and imaginative people are when it comes to holding weddings in their homes and gardens. Curtis flew to Canada a few days after the wedding to start work as the fabulous brewer I believe he is. While Peita packed up the wedding presents and followed with her suitcase full of winter clothes, aum la la.

The 19th March was extremely wet I was waiting for a lovely vibrate couple and their witnesses to arrive to be married at my house , gulp, and the rain kept falling in torrents. I’ve a funky small veranda area which is awesome when the weather is fine to behold the garden in all its lushness. But oh my Goodness where will I set up the signing table without it getting slightly damp, holy Molly, inside of course, all is fabulous. The rain stopped long enough for some photos out in the garden, oh la la exchanging your wedding vows in outdoors has a zest and liveliness ……. then the rain Gods sent it down again, though it is the wet season heh heh The tourist industry changed the name from the wet season to the green season ha ha its still wet.

Heather Maher & Patrick Miller were married in their garden on 01/10/11. Heather had the help of her 3 sisters, to create a vintage look to their gorgeous surroundings and lovely private garden, though I have a feeling her sister Cherry did a lot of the organizing & labor, ha ha. This wedding was fun with an easy relaxed ceremony and a loving atmosphere which usually goes with a garden wedding. They had a couple of friends playing music and singing before the ceremony and that added to the old world atmosphere. The handsome Italian man meets the beautiful Russian woman in Korea and fall in love. Ruben proposed to Mia at a restaurant on Jeju Island after a year of being together. Their dream was to be married in Australia on the Great Barrier Reef. Their dream came true on a beautiful sunny day in December 2012. They were wed in a romantic atmosphere aboard the Reef Daytripper. Mia wore a traditional Italian wedding dress. One could think all those frills on board a reef boat would look out of place ha ha, not so. Jarrod is a romantic at heart after 5 years together as a couple he proposed to Amanda at Chateau Yering a winery in the Yarra Vally. After a lovely lunch he got down on one knee in the court yard and asked Amanda to marry him, well the rest is history as Amanda was attracted to Jarrod’s sense of humor and his caring ways. Palm Cove Weddings organized their quite wedding on the beach at Palm Cove and Amanda said it was perfect for them. Its easy to see they’ll be sharing many years together as a family with strong goals and lots of children heh heh. Beautiful couple it was fabulous to be their celebrant.

I took this photo at a wedding I did for Deanne & John up in Mareeba last year. I adore this photo the young boy was asked by his mum, one of the bridesmaids to hold her flowers. He was infatuated with the beauty of them. He climbed up on the signing chair and looked with amazement at what treasure he was asked to hold. He would smell them then chat and smile to himself and ever so gently touch the petals of the bouquet. It was a highlight watching him losing himself in a beautiful bouquet, this boy has style.

Emily Iconou looked every inch a Greek Goddess when she married her lover of 2 years Dean Spowart on the 3rd of December at Palm Cove Sea Temple. They had close family members fly up from NSW to enjoy a few relaxing days and to share in the awesome occasion. Dean was first attracted to Emily by her laugh her mischievous dark sparking eyes and her sense of humor. Together they will make adorable babies who will have wicked senses of humor like their parents, heh heh.

Trent Doran and Sophia Senior are already a family unit with their children Bailey and Chanae. This young couple know the meaning of life and how to have fun and party. I’m sure as one of Sophia’s sisters pointed out they must have picked one of the hottest day in the north to say their marriage vows. Thank the Heavenly Goddess in charge of all brides who helped Sophia select a chapel that had the aircon going flat out so all could sit in the cool to hear their wedding vows they had written for one another. Their guests had travelled from far and wide to share the celebration with them. I’m absolutely sure their guests would have partied hard and laughed lots. Good fun this couple and together they will be for life.

Paige Broomhall and Israel Habgi started their romance in Thailand and continued it along the great Australian coastline. Paige and Israel wanted an unpretentious intimate setting which had to have the beach, paperbark trees with a calm peaceful atmosphere which they found at Kewarra Beach. Their ceremony was moving and memorable, where a few tears were shed by her witnesses Jacqueline her mum, Kim her step-dad. Paige is such an elegant gorgeous woman that she makes the top models of today look awkward and clumsily. May their years together be truly blissful.
